The Buoy House is a landmark on Chebeague Island. A person could be forgiven for writing it off as a visual decoration, but if you’re an islander (or hoping to become one) these colorful, retired buoys mean so much more. This house of buoys is a visual reflection, a sort of memorial, of the hard effort of lobstermen—and women—at sea.
